This suite contians a contacts manager, word processing capabilities, a database manager, a spreadsheet utility, an e-mail manager, an image tool, a scheduling utility, a ZIP manager, and a fax manager. You can use it as a stand-alone or as an add-on to your existing Office software.

Because it's contained in one application or integrated via the plugin system, each module is integrated. Budgie is contacts-driven and you can use contacts data in all the main modules. You can interface your contacts data files with the user-created databases. If you reference a contact in the Schedule you can get a running history of what you did with that contact or the whole history of the company he/she works for.

The spreadsheet is closely integrated with whatever databases you create. Naturally the communications tools (email and fax) integrate with contacts, and the word processor can merge data from contacts files and user-created databases. The word processor has a special database mode through which you can create a hierarchical filing system for most documents in compressed form.

Moreover, you won't have trouble importing your data from other applications. The word processor has extensive file import and export converters so you can read and save in many formats. The spreadsheet reads Microsoft Excel files, files in text-delimited format and dBase files and saves in these formats as well as its own special format. Contacts natively reads QuickBooks export lists and has a simple-to-use importer for dBase files (which you can create in the spreadsheet from other formats, or export to from your existing software). You can use the spreadsheet to query your user-created databases and save the result in several formats. The Schedule and Contacts can synchronise with a Pocket PC.
