Notepad++

Notepad++ is a free source editor with the syntax highlighting and syntax folding. It gives also the extra functionality: define a user's own language for the syntax folding and syntax highlighting. You can print your source code (or whatever you want) in color if you have a color printer (WYSIWYG). Furthermore, Notepad++ have the multi-view feature, that allows user to edit the different document in the same time, and even to edit the same document synchronizely in 2 different views.
Notepad++ support the fully drag and drop: not only you can drop the file from explorer to open it, but also you can drag and drop a document from a view to another.
With all the functionalities, Notepad++ runs as fast as Notepad provided by MS Windows.

PureText 2.0

Have you ever copied some text from a web page, a word document, help, etc., and wanted to paste it as simple text into another application without getting all the formatting from the original source? PureText makes this simple. Just copy/cut whatever you want to the clipboard, click on the PureText tray icon, and then paste to any application. Better yet, you can configure a Hot-Key to convert and paste the text for you. The pasted text will be pure and free from all formatting.
After running PureText.exe, you will see a PT tray icon appear near the clock on your task bar. To convert the data currently in the clipboard to pure text, simply click on the tray icon with the left mouse button.

What PureText Will and Will Not Do:
PureText only removes rich formatting from text. This includes the font face, font style (bold, italics, etc.), font color, paragraph styles (left/right/center aligned), margins, character spacing, bullets, subscript, superscript, tables, charts, pictures, embedded objects, etc. However, it does not modify the actual text. It will not remove or fix new-lines, carriage returns, tabs, or other white-space. It will not fix word-wrap or clean up your paragraphs. If you copy the source code of a web page to the clipboard, it is not going to remove all the HTML tags. If you copy text from an actual web page (not the source of the page), it will remove the formatting.

PureText is basically equivalent to opening Notepad, doing a PASTE, followed by a SELECT-ALL, and then a COPY. The benefit of PureText is performing all these actions with a single Hot-Key and having the result pasted into the current window automatically.

QuickPad

QuickPad is a small and very fast Notepad-like application, which serves mainly for keeping temporary notes. It can be always running without being in your way, saves your notes automatically, is fully controllable through keyboard shortcuts and - as a special feature - divides (text) files virtually into several pages.

LayoutFix

Typing the text you have forgotten to switch keyboard layout? What to do? To type anew? No! We mark the text and is pushed Ctrl-BackSpace. We enjoy outcome:)

LayoutFix functions are very simple, but you need them regularly. The main help of this program is in translating. All you have to do is to launch LayoutFix and then continue or start working with your Word. If you've written something without switching the layout, you shouldn't rewrite it again! You should only paste the text, press Ctrl + Backspace - and enjoy! It will automatically convert the text into the required language.

TheGun

TheGun is written in 32 bit Microsoft Assembler (MASM) and is a genuine Portable Executable format file (6144 bytes!). It does not need any Visual C++ or Visual Basic runtime DLLs and does not use or write to the Registry at all. It is fully drag & drop enabled, supports wordwrap and uses the full operating system based search capacity with case 'sensitive', 'insensitive' and 'whole word' search. There is no limit set within TheGun any longer for the maximum file size, it will be limited by the amount of available memory and the final loading speed. It has been speed optimised in both file load and file save.
